Learn To Duck: A Horse Head in My Bank Account

  • lksugarman · 1 year ago
Hmm, Yom Kippur is Wednesday, the annual Day of Atonement and fasting for all good Jews. We are also in a period of Mercury retrograde where things that were set in motion prior are settled during this time. All that and the IRS caught up w/ you. But, it's a new year as of last week, so take a deep breath, fast, reflect, and start fresh on Thursday.

This is somewhat typical entrepreneurial behavior and experience...just in case that's any consolation.

Oh, and I have a fantastic tax/corporate attorney, Joshua Brinen in New York who saved my ass! California came after me for $9,000+ in totally erroneous taxes! My ex got a bill for $5,000+ for 2005 when we didn't even live in California yet!

....runs to make sure she's talked to her accountant.....

The good news is Micah is smart and will totally recover. And then buy me dinner.

The good news is that life without learning is not worth living, even
if the lessons are due to narcassitic behavior. :)

I guess the IRS is forcibly making you patriotic, because paying your taxes is patriotic.

    So they tell me.
  • micah · 1 year ago
That's one way of looking at it. I prefer that the IRS is forcing me
to grow up, which every great idiot has to do at some point.

now will you go and vote? that's patriotic too ;-)

(not to mention the sign of a grown up)
  • micah · 1 year ago
I am patriotic. My decision to not vote is patiotic.

Sorry man, I get upset when I make financial mistakes too... but they only cost me about $20. I'll multiply that feeling by 200 and try to feel the same way. :(

Not that I have much of a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of right now, but I am willing to float you a little. I will even buy you dinner the next time you are in town :-)

    Ass Jew...would you attend?
  • kernwill · 1 year ago

Sorry man that sucks. I knew your Fabergé egg omelets habit was going to cause problems.
  • micah · 1 year ago
That and my enjoyment of pure gold napkins.

Someday Micah's autobiography will make the NYT Bestseller list and he'll be throwing the benefit concerts. Life is all about leaning from experiences as Micah said above - I have the utmost respect for people who turn the shitty times into lessons and learn and grow from them.
