Learn To Duck: Why I Live In Boulder? Mercury Poisoning, Of Course

  • Spam · 1 year ago
11 years ago, when I relocated to DC/Baltimore after spending 25 years of my life in Boulder, I got the same question--"Why?"--along with a puzzled look.

I still don't have a good enough answer to that question.

When I left DC after 5 years, my question was "what took me so long?" :)

Couldn't agree more, this tech community is first and foremost friends hanging out and social media, developers, designers, community managers, crazies second.

Been here for less than 2 months and wondering why/how I let myself be trapped in the Florida Panhandle for 11 years. The community here was a major factor in wanting to live here. The few people that I have met have all been very cool people.

I don't even have a place to live yet but, for once, it feels like I've made the right choice.

Welcome Mark! Let me know if there is anything I can do.

    Thanks Micah!

You were one of the people I started following months ago (both here and on Twitter) as I was familiarizing myself with the community. So, in a way, you've contributed to getting me here.

Hopefully we'll run into each other at some point soon.

Awesome post, Micah. The sushi eating contest was such a blast. I brought some non-tech friends along and they also commented on how awesome us nerds are :-) I love it here and am so happy to be a girl coder in a place like this.

    Never thought I'd say that.

I'm sure we will do it soon. Regardless, you are always welcome to
engage the champ in a personal battle. I only stopped because everyone
    else crapped out.
